Here are some of the more frequently asked questions I receive about quilts…
Q: How do I know how much backing or batting I need?
For a longarm quilter to stitch your quilt, you will need your batting and backing to be at least 6″ larger than your quilt top (3″ for each side, and 3″ extra for top and bottom).
Q: How do I know how big my quilt is?
You measure the length and the width. Example: 60″ wide by 66″ long
Q: What is a quilt sandwich?
Your quilt top, batting and backing all together.
